 एकस्मिन् वने कश्चन् व्याधः जालं विस्तीर्य दूरे स्थितः| क्रमशः आकाशात् सपरिवारः कपोतराजः तत्र आगच्छत्|  यदा कपोताः तण्डुलान् अपश्यत् तदा तेषां लोभो जातः | परं राजा सहमतः नासीत्| तस्य युक्तिः आसीत् सहसा वने कोपि मनुष्यः नास्ति| कुतः तण्डुलानाम् सम्भवः| राज्ञ: उपदेशम् अस्वीकृ्त्य कपोताः तण्डुलान् खादितुं प्रवृत्ताः जाले नीचैः निपतिता:| एकस्मिन् - one      वने - in the forest       कश्चन् - some      व्याधः - hunter     जालं - net (acc) विस्तीर्य – having spread       दूरे - in a far away place    स्थितः - he sat क्रमशः - gradually      आकाशात् - from the sky        सपरिवारः - with family       कपोतराजः - king of pigeons     तत्र – there    आगच्छत् - came        यदा , तदा - when, then     कपोताः - pigeons      तण्डुलान् - rice (acc)     अपश्यत् - saw      तेषां - in them     लोभो - greed      जातः - arose परं - but  सहमतः - agreement    नासीत् - न+आसीत् - he was not तस्य – his      युक्तिः - thought , plan    सहसा - immediately       कोपि - कः अपि - no one      मनुष्यः - human being कुतः

In Sanskrit the words which do not change form with gender, number or person, tense etc. are called avyaya (अव्यय). These avyayas are of 4 main categoris – adverb (kriya visheshan), conjunction, preposition and interjection. Examples of adverb क्रियाविशेषण  यदा when तदा then सर्वदा always कदा when सदा always अधुना today इदानीम् now संप्रति nowadays, now अद्य today य्ह: yesterday श्वः tomorrow सायं: evening प्रातं morning शीघ्रं fast दिवा day नक्त: night बहुदा much परश्वः day after tomorrow संभवतः perhaps चिरं everlasting एकदा once कदाचित् sometimes Prepositions : स्थानवाचक अव्यय यत्र here तत्र there कुत्र where सर्वत्र everywhere अन्तः inside बहिः outside अन्तरा in the middle अध: below तत: there समया, निकषा, पार्श्वे nearby   इतस्ततः here and there   अभित: infront of परितः surrounding, all around अग्रे, पुरतः in front of अन्यत्र elsewhere रीतिवाचक अव्यय
