They give shadow to others. But they themselves stand in the sun. They grow fruits also for others. Trees are like good people only.

Anvaya : अहो! अहो!=hy एषाम् एषाम्=of these सर्व-प्राणि-उपजीवनम् सर्व-प्राणि-उपजीवनम्=shelter /subsistence of all living things जन्म जन्म=life वरम्। वरम्।=great महीरुहा: महीरुहा:=trees धन्या: धन्या:=blessed येभ्य: येभ्य:=from these अर्थिन: अर्थिन:=seekers निराशा: निराशा:=disappointed न न=never यान्ति । यान्ति=they get, they achieve

Hey, the lives of trees are great as they give subsistence to all living creatures. Tress are blessed because they never disappoint the seekers.

Anvaya: पत्र-पुष्प-फल-छाया-मूल-वल्कल-दारुभि: गन्ध-निर्यास-भस्म-अस्थि-तोक्मै: कामान् वितन्वते।

Leaf, flower, fruit, shade, root, bark and timber, fragrance, juice, ash, skeleton, young shoot all these fulfill the desires.

Anvaya: (हे) आम्र! यद्यपि ते दिवसा: गता: ये पुष्प-सौरभ-फल-प्रचुरा: (आसन्)। हन्त! तथापि सम्प्रति जनानाम् अतितापम् छायया एव दलयसि।

Meaning:Hey mango(tree)! Even when your days of of plentiful flowers, fragrance, fruits, alas, even then, you give shade and chase away extreme heat of people.

Anvaya:भुजङ्गै: मूलम् (आश्रितम्) प्लवङ्गै: शिखरम् (आश्रितम्), विहङ्गै: शाखा: (आश्रिता:), भृङ्गै: कुसुमानि (आश्रितानि) चन्दन-पादपस्य तत् न एव अस्ति यत् समन्तात् सत्वभरै: न आश्रितम्ï ।

Meaning: Snakes are sheltered by roots. Monkeys are sheltered by peaks. Birds are sheltered by branches. Bees are sheltered by flowers. There is no part of sandalwood tree which is not sheltering all creatures from all around.

Anvaya: निम्ब! त्वदीय-कटुता यदि दाहहन्त्री(अस्ति), मूढमनुजा: तव दोष-गाथा: गायन्तु। मित्रवर! तपन- उपम-पित्ततापै: तप्ता: ते एव (जना:) तावक-गीतकानि गास्यन्ति।

Meaning: Hey neem tree. Even though your bitterness destroys the heat and burning, foolish people sing the songs of your mistakes. Hey friend, they will only sing your praises when the they are worn by the extreme heat.

धत्ते भरं कुसुमपत्रफलावलीनां घर्मव्यथां वहति शीतभवां रुजं च।
य: सर्वमर्पयति चान्यसुखस्य हेतो: तस्मै वदान्यगुरवे तरवे नमोऽस्तु॥ 7॥

Meaning:

I bow down to that tree, that teacher, who holds the weight of flower, leaf and fruits, who bears the agonies of heat and cold, who gives everything for the happiness of others, to that teacher .
