- माता आगच्छति। Mother comes.
- शिक्षकः पठयति। Teacher teaches.
- कृषकः क्षेत्रं कर्षति। Farmer ploughs the field.
- श्रमिकः पाषाणं त्रोटयति। The laborer breaks the stone.
- लिपिकः कार्यं करोति। The clerk does work.
- छात्रः लेखं लिखति। The students writes an article.
- अजौ तृणान् चरतः। Two Goats graze the grass.
- वानरौ कूर्दते। Two monkeys jump.

- युवां कुत्र गच्छथः? Where do you both go? यूयं कुत्र गच्छथ? Where do you (all) go?

- अहं पाठं पठामि। I read the lesson.
- आवां पाठानि पठावः। We both read lessons. वयं पाठानि पठामः। We read lessons.
- आवां ग्रामं गच्छावः। We both go to the village.
- वयं भोजनं कुर्मः। We eat the meals.
We can observe from these sentences that, the nouns - subjects change form according to the number. And unlike English, even the verbs change according to number and person.
